Educational Farm Visit Programs

Heaven Scent Farm, operated by a homeschool family in Gainesville, Virginia is a small-scale working farm.  We offer farm visit programs from a biblical perspective to help children experience life on a farm and learn about agriculture, soil and water conservation.

As homeschoolers, daily life on the farm enables us to encounter valuable educational opportunities and develop life skills.  By offering educational farm visit programs, we aim to provide these same opportunities to you and your family.

We work together with the Prince William County Soil and Water Conservation District, the Prince William County Farm Bureau and other organizations to provide quality programs that are both fun and educational.

A portion of the proceeds from our farm visit programs are donated to international Christian missions and other charitable organizations.  Our programs run from 10:00 am to noon.  You can select from one of the programs below, or we can tailor a program for your school, family, or private group.  Some programs run rain or shine. Others may be rescheduled or cancelled due to inclement weather or lack of enrollment.  Email us for program pricing, additional information, and to reserve a date and program.

What’s in the Garden?
Good food doesn’t begin on a grocery store shelf in a box. Healthy food becomes much more interesting when children know from where it comes. This program helps children understand the process of planting, production, packaging and delivery of fresh produce to the grocery store. Sew some seeds, visit with our barnyard animals and more. Recommended grade level pre-K through grade 5, but open to all grade levels.
